Hi,

I can't seem to share internet with my macbook pro with windows 7 as the host over an adhoc wireless network. When I connect my iphone with the windows 7 the internet works.

mac is running 10.6.3

AirPort keeps saying:"ad hoc airport has the self-assigned ip address and will not be able to connect to the internet" When it is connected to windows 7 ad hoc network.

Firewall is turned off.

Do i need to enable internet sharing on the mac as well???
Please help

Yes, enable internet sharing on your mac too. Sometimes the mac alone will lock out all other connections as a default. Airport might too, is it password protected?

If that doesn't work try connecting all your devices and turning them on, and resetting your airport, there is a small inset button you have to press with a pencil or pen near the side, hold it until the light flashes amber, then if it reconnects to your devices it should turn flashing green, then solid green.
