I have had iPad2 for 2 weeks. All of a sudden it is stuck in portrait mode. I checked the obvious--lock switch, settings and did a power cycle. Nothings changes. Any suggestions?

This happens to my iPad 2 at least once a week. Turn the device off and then back on. That's what works for mine.

Did you ever have the switch set to control orientation lock? If so set it back to that, and then try to unlock it.

Or like was said above check the orientation lock button in the multitasking tray.

Double press menu and slide the task tray to the right. On the bar you should see the iPod music settings (volume, etc.)

Check the rotation lock icon there before doing anything drastic like erasing or restoring from backup...

Yep, I've experienced that with both my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 several times (once a week or so).

Even if the screen orientation lock is disabled, it stills only shows in portrait mode.

Don't restore.. Just do a reboot of the device, and it works just fine again :)
