W Windowsrefugee macrumors regular Original poster Apr 30, 2011 #1 I have had iPad2 for 2 weeks. All of a sudden it is stuck in portrait mode. I checked the obvious--lock switch, settings and did a power cycle. Nothings changes. Any suggestions?😱

Julien macrumors G4 Apr 30, 2011 #2 Are you sure you don't have it setup for software lock (default)?

S Stetrain macrumors 68040 Apr 30, 2011 #6 Did you ever have the switch set to control orientation lock? If so set it back to that, and then try to unlock it. Or like was said above check the orientation lock button in the multitasking tray.

jafingi macrumors 65816 May 1, 2011 #8 Yep, I've experienced that with both my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 several times (once a week or so). Even if the screen orientation lock is disabled, it stills only shows in portrait mode. Don't restore.. Just do a reboot of the device, and it works just fine again 🙂
