Hey I have an iphone 4 that has a cracked front and back. Dropping it from my pocket destroyed it. Ive owned it for about a year now, and I have the apple care protection plan. Does apple give you a brand new phone or a refurbished phone??? I just dont really want phone that was put together from 10 different other phones, when mine just needs the new glass kit ($79). If any of you have had the same problem, please let me know what I should do.?

Damage from dropping the phone isn't covered by warranty. It is worth taking it into the apple store and explaining your situation nicely and calmly nonetheless.

Good luck trying to get a front screen and back glass for $79.
Only option is to pay Apple $200 for a replacement and yes you will receive a refurb. You really think you will get a brand new iphone when you hand it your broken year old phone?
