HELP! iPhone won't turn off

Hi,

I just jailbroke and unlocked a 2G 8gb iPhone. I've done this in the past and haven't had a problem, but this particular iPhone will not turn off 😡

I've held the power button and moved the slider to "power off" and the phone appears to turns off then restarts itself.

I've held the power button + home button for about 10 seconds and once again the phone appears to turn off, then restarts itself.

Any suggestions or plausible solutions?
