Power Mac G5 2.0 6GB 250HD dual Layer SD. This will be used for basic Apple isoftware, e-mail and some movie incoding. Is this a good deal? I skipped the G5 era entirely so I am unsure if this is a good deal or no... Your thoughts?:apple:

What are you specs? Looking at your machines, yours will do a better job, unless it is quad core or something...

Power Mac G5 2.0 6GB ram 250HD with a 15 inch Apple LCD monitor. I am just using it for baseline work at home. I am asking is this a decent deal or overpriced in your opinion?:apple:

My opinion is that it is an OK deal. Not great, but not too bad.

Your 15" Penryn will blow the doors off it. As long as you're aware of that...

I think your $1000 would be better spent on an intel machine.
