Hi,

I've been making a website on web. I have uploaded it using cyber duck as my ftp client, and hit a problem!

The website does not load under the address it should do:

www.janieshepherdacupuncture.co.uk

but instead it will only load on:

http://janieshepherdacupuncture.co.uk/janie_shepherd_acupuncture/Home.html

I have spoken to my hosting company and apparently it is an issue with the html script and I should insert a html code redirection script but I have no idea how to do this or even what it is!!

If anyone can offer any help it would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot,

Robin.

Look for the index.html file. That's where iWeb puts the meta tag for the redirection to your home page.

This is correct behavior. When you publish a site created with iWeb, it automatically creates a very simple index.html file at the address you specify, which redirects the user to an address of the form domain/sitename/pagename.html - exactly what yours is doing.

This happened to me--perhaps

I am not too proficient, but I think I had the same problem a couple of days ago. I called Apple and they told me I needed to call my host, GoDaddy. GoDaddy had instructions for a fix that were quite good, but I was unsure of myself. They were able to fix it for me in a minute. Problem solved.
