HELP!!! :( Just Installed New RAM now macbook gets the wheel and fan goes crazy!

ok please help me out here.

I just upgraded the ram in my first gen 2.0ghz macbook to 1gb. now it freezes and the wheel spins for a long time then it will undo, now the fan wont stop, i have it sleeping right next to me and the fan is going high speed...

what to do!?

take the ram out and reinstall it.. Make sure its in proper and make sure its recognized by macbook...

Sounds like you are using the wrong RAM. Reverse your upgrade. NOW!!!

its from owc, im pretty sure its the right ram.

the mac recognizes it i checked the status and it all seems to check out there.

Did you try the above suggestions? Take it out and go back to your original RAM. Is your machine behaving properly? If it is, try the RAM again. If it works now it just wasn't seated properly. If it still doesn't work the RAM is bad.
