I have been trying for 2 days to find a way to import my home videos from my JVC Camcorder to my iMac but it is not working. I hook it up and iMovie doesn't recognize it. I go to the about this Mac and more info and it says it is connected but not configured. I don't know how to configure it. when I hook the camera up to PC I have to load all these drivers but they won't load on Mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what's format of your file? MOD or TOD? Probably the program can help you solve the problem. mod converter for mac
It's not the file extension that doesn't work it's the iMovie don't read the camera.
This doesn't help me because I bought a firewire and it still didn't read it. It says under This Mac info that it is unable to list Firewire device. When I use a USB cable it reads it but it tells me that it's not configured.... So how would I configure it? I looked in the menus on the camera but there was nothing.. Thanks for the replies though.
