Help, lost stacks & downloads on Dock

Help!
I recently added my Canon camera software and then found I didn't need it, so I trashed it. I have now found that my Stacks and Downloads icons have left the Dock and I can't find them. Any help would be appreciated.

Try going to your Home folder and just drag Downloads folder down to the dock. Should work...

There's also some commands you can put in Terminal to get them back.

you can drag any folder to the right of the dotted line on the dock and it turns into a stack, just drag your downloads folder there. i have applications, home folder and download folder set up as stacks.
