Hello,

I have a Windows based wireless wifi 802.11g network with file, internet and printer sharing. The printer is connected to a Windows XP desktop, as is the wireless router.

Can a Mac (OS Tiger) join this network - to share the internet and the printer?

Thanks,
Davood

Not sure what you mean by a "Windows-based" network, but I would guess you have a network connection that is currently used only by Windows machines. If that is the case, you should be able to see the wireless network from the Mac, assuming the router is configured to allow enough connections.

If I'm misunderstanding and you have a cable modem connected directly to a Windows machine that is subsequently sharing that connection over its internal wireless card, it may be a little more complicated to setup, but should still be a viable connection for the Mac. I'm not experienced in that type of configuration.
