HELP: Mac Pro restarts when waking from sleep

the problem just started a few days ago. i hadn't made any mods or installed any new software. all firmware is current.

i've reset the NVRAM and SMC with no results.

any suggestions?

are you hitting the "on/off button" when you wake your Mac from sleep?

no. just hitting the space bar (or any other key) on the wireless keyboard.

Any chance that you are turning on the monitor at the same time?

I have a problem like that... My Dell 24" LCD has a card reader built in. (USB) and each time I power off and on the monitor, Leopard crashes. This doesn't happen with the USB unplugged from it.

don't think so, but i'm not sure. i mean, the monitors sleeps when the computer sleeps as far as i know.
