Help. Macbook 2008 alluminium stuck after "upgrade" to Sonoma

Ciao, I have a big problem.
Unfortunately, I tried to upgrade from Catalina to Sequoia using OpenCore, but the upgrade failed and the installation process aborted.
Now it won't boot at all, and unfortunately, my brother formatted the USB drive that had the Sequoia OS on it.
Is there anything I can do?

My advice:

- Forget about "open core" for now.

- Make (or buy) another flashdrive that has a copy of a supported version of the Mac OS for the 2008 MacBook.

It looks like the most recent OS release that will run on it is 10.7 "Lion". But 10.6.8 "Snow Leopard" will work, too.

Snow Leopard may also be available on a DVD.
But make sure you get the "full installer", universal version (works on any Mac from that time period). I think this was 10.6.3.

You could try mrmacintosh.com for links for lion.

Then use Diskmaker X to create a bootable flashdrive (use a 16gb flashdrive).
