Hi everyone, I need some advice.

I’m using a MacBook Pro M2 and recently ran into an issue with the Touch Bar. Yesterday, I was doing some heavy work (rendering, design tasks, etc.), and suddenly the Touch Bar stopped working.

🔹 What happened before:
  • This isn’t the first time. It happened once before, but after I shut down my MacBook and left it overnight, the Touch Bar worked fine the next day.
🔹 What’s happening now:
  • I tried the same method (shutting down overnight), but this time the Touch Bar won’t turn back on.
  • I’ve already tried several solutions I found online, including resetting SMC & NVRAM, but nothing has worked so far
🔹 Questions:
  1. Has anyone experienced this issue on a MacBook Pro M2?
  2. Are there any other troubleshooting steps I should try before taking it to an Apple service center?
  3. Do you think this is more likely a software or hardware problem?
Thanks a lot for any insights or suggestions! 🙏

hello, you can follow the given steps -

1) Make sure that the " Show Control Strip" in Touch Bar settings is turned on.
2) If it is on then, reset the Touch Bar and Control Strip by running these commands in Terminal - 'sudo pkill TouchBarServer;' and 'sudo killall ControlStrip.'

And even after trying these thing its not worked out then may be some fault in software or you can update your Mac if available that might help you.

1. I didn't try the first method because the touchbar option disappeared from my keyboard settings.
2. I tried the second option, but it still didn't work.
