Hi guys, so i had a broken LCD macbook pro touchbar A1706 around 3 months ago and left it because it was quite pricy, and last week i recently changed them. But i got this problem where after around 2 hours i'm using them my screen goes like this. I asked the store where i replaced them (was not an official apple store because it's not available near my area) and they say that it was a machine error, not an lcd error. Can anoyone help me what is wrong with my macbook? Thank you very much for the help

It looks like it may be a LVDS cable that's going bad or after your MacBook Pro heats up the cable begins to fail. When the store changed out the LCD, they may have damaged the cable or one of the video cables.

I would take it back to them and tell them to repair it. Don't let them tell you it's a machine error.

So more information for you, when applications are minimized it still shows the app in the screen but it's a bit blurred shown on the photo before. This also happens when Im surfing on Chrome, when i scroll the image wont change and it will still show the image before. Could this be a LVDS cable or video cable that is faulty? Cause they keep on blaming me that it might be because my macbook lid was closed too hard.

It sure looks like a cable to me and since they changed out the LCD, they may have damaged the LVDS or another video cable. They might have even damaged a connector.

Are they an authorized Apple Repair Service? If they are, they have to guarantee the work and parts 90 days. If they're just another repair shop who works on Macs, you might have a difficult time getting them to repair it right.

So i just received another reply from them, they claimed that LVDS, connector, or video cable is in the machine which they did not touch during the LCD changing process, they do say when they changed the LCD that there is a stain of coffee inside my macbook. Is this thing possible? Thankyou.

It sounds like they're making excuses. As for the coffee stain, I suppose that's possible if something (coffee) was spilled on the computer at one time.

Like I said above, if they are not an Apple Authorized Repair Service you're going to have a hard time getting a refund or making them repair the computer right.

We have seen a lot of stains inside of Apple MacBooks and other laptop brands. Usually, we never fix those or we don't offer any warranty if we do fix a device with liquid damage. However, it seems you might have had a bad or defective screen from the repair shop. What warranty did they offer? 1 month? 3 months? 1 year?
