Help- macbook won't power on

So here is the deal I have a 15 macbook pro core2duo 2.4ghz , son broke my screen apple wanted $1300 I got the screen and did it my self which worked fine , only thing I noticed gaps in the body , so shut computer down to snap tabs in place , now computer won't power on . When the charger is connected and power button is pressed the light turns green on charger

I know nothing of hardware, what so ever. But you don't have to be a genius to know that it's the screen that is broken.
