Help make a choice! Macbook Pro in 2017 the price is the same.

You don’t say what you’re using it for, so you could really just roll a dice or toss a coin. But I would go for the touchbar model. Sure the RAM is lower but for most cases 8GB is fine. In return you get a faster processor, faster wifi, touchbar, and more ports.

And I think the SSD might be quicker but I’m not sure.

Its up to you ultimately and we cannot decide for you.

Think what you really need:
-TouchBar or Function keys?
-Stuck with 256GB or Upgradable SSD?
-8GB RAM or 16GB RAM?

Should be pretty easy to decide if you answer yourself the above questions.

Thanks for the feedback! TuhBar is not very important to me. MacBook is needed to work with the office, video browsing, photoshop, internet. I do not do video editing, I do not do graphic projects. The main thing is that I would have it enough for 3-4 years of comfortable work.

For that use you can buy a base model MB and it would easily do your job

I’d go with the 16GB. nTB can Turbo Boost to 3.1 GHz and stay there all day long, no issues.

16GB will make it future proof.

If you could wait a few weeks and see what changes are coming for the MacBook and MBP Ntb could lower the prices more on 2017 models.

Im not positive but I have read issues with the nTB heat and battery life. Of Course I have read that on every single MacBook every made.....I would definitely wait on the nTB to see what upgrades are around the corner.

I have the nTB 2017 MBP and I can vouch for it, it’s a cracking machine. I haven’t had any problems so far. IMO it’s the best value for money hands down.

Also the battery is good and the specs are good, it can get a bit hot under a heavy load, but nothing worth worrying about. The keyboard has also been great.
