Well, my trusty Dual Pentium III rig blew up the other night (damn lightning), and I think I've made my decision on how to replace it, but would like some thoughts.
I'm looking at the Epox 8RDA+ NForce mobo, and the Athlon XP 2100+.
Both of these seem to be much loved by the hardocp PC dorks, and the combo is about $200.
I don't game, so I'm recyling my GF2mx, and SCSI equipment, eBaying the FireWire card, and buying 1 512MB ddr stick to begin with.
I really love Duals, so I hope this thing is up to multitasking (serving a few daemons, while feeding a DVD to my TV, while running NewsRover, and...ughhh...XP).
