I have a base MBA 11" 2013.. but I need a Windows computer to compliment it for full office as the 128GB just won't support boot camp with enough space..

So.. can any of you guys find me a laptop which matches the following!

- Preferably HP (250/255?)
- Supports up to 16GB DDR3 RAM
- Can have optical drive replaced for HDD
- At least dual core
- NOT Celeron.. Pentium - Maybe.
- If AMD, can you tell me how the processor ranks e.g. is it i3 equivalent etc..
- Graphics - Good enough for Minecraft?

OR .. A small form factor PC such as the NUC.. but with an HDD??

Thanks

p.s. this section does NOT mention any need to be about Apple..

Thanks, again!

You can get a 256 GB drive and do boomcamp.

What feature of "full office" do you need?

For the 2013 Air? If I could get a NEW, In Warranty/Guaranteed SSD for it, I really would invest :/ But they aren't out yet. OWC haven't even come up with a solution yet.

Other than this.. Idk what to do buy invest in a new computer :/

Bear in mind it's likely that a new version of Office for Mac will be out next year which might bring features you want, or there's always Office 365 in the mean time; it seems like a bit of a waste of money to buy a whole new PC.

You really got money burning a hole in your pocket? Buy an external hd and run windows in a VM. 40gb max space required.

Or sure, hope onto dells website and buy a new windows pc, but sounds like a waste of money to just run office.

Can't believe I'm responding to one of these posts. Lolz.

It is a serious post. I know it's a bit of a waste, and trust me, I'd rather have it all on the Mac :L It's just the SSD space.

But the Office 2014 for Mac post sounded promising.. maybe I will hold out until then!
