Brought my iPad2 from target for $499 with $40 target gift card 30 days ago, and I can return it for $459 and keep the gift card, should I do it and get the iPad3, my iPad2 is on 5.01 and jailbreak.

Decide for yourself if your work or user experience would benefit from the higher resolution display. It's not like your iPad 2 is any different because the new iPad is out.

Definitely. You can either get the iPad 3 for the same price or get the iPad 2 again for $100 less.

yeah dude, the most noticeable update is the hi-res display the new ipad is sporting.

Compare a 3GS screen and iPhone 4 and that will help you decide.

Why are you even asking this question? Yes of course, you should spend the same amount of money but get a much better product.

3GS was never high def so there was need for a huge improvement, iPad 2 has high def screen so I don't think the difference will be that huge like it was from 3GS to 4. None the less the new iPad screen will be slick.

I think there will be a huge difference from the old iPad screen to the new one. 132 PPI to 264 PPI. I was always disgusted with the iPad screen after being spoiled with my iPhone 4 and 4S. I'm so glad that they finally put in the retina display so I'm upgrading my iPad 1. After seeing the iPhone I promised I would never buy another iPad until they put in a retina display haha.

To the OP, don't even think about it go for it and return it.

I would, FWIW, you could return it and rebuy a new one and still come out on top, even with the GC taken off, b/c $399 + tax is still cheaper than a $459 or w/e that you pay.

Micro Center has them for $360 now, if you have one in your area.

Geez, that really is a no-brainer - of course you should return it!
