help me erase

I have an external drive and i set a passord on only one partision and now i want to format it and it wont let me
 
heres a screenshot

Make an Ubuntu boot USB key, boot your system from that, and then use its disk partitioning software to erase all the partitions. Reboot back into Mac OS X and you should have an empty drive to do whatever you want with it.
