But is that because Apple fans are more vocal than the average Android user? That could be said about facial recognition with other devices though.

But no other device has facial recognition as the ONLY biometric choice. It's not that serious nor do I doubt will hinder sales, but many will complain if only one face can be registered.

I don't think Apple will be worried about that if they only offered FaceID.

Final post on this thread. Update as of today my S8+ is no more. For 3 reasons mostly.

#1. My Note 5 with 5.7" 16:9 Display Renders everything Larger Videos, Text social media, Links, and only Pictures automatically default to fill the Display. Where as the same links on the skinnier taller 18:9 aspect ratio of the S8+ default to small tiny versions.
#2. Price, after 10 years with Sprint they did not budge on Price or honor the $19.80 a month offer on the website. And charged an activation fee. And did not match any competitors offers.
#3. Due to the curved edges there are no viable tempered glass screen protectors available and any application of one causes severe edge distortions ruining the beauty of the curved edges.

As of now I will patiently wait to see the LG V30 and Note 8.

1. 18:9 will not go anywhere anytime soon with the S8/S8+/N8.
2. Sprint is a lousy company to begin with. Their coverage is quite spotty and they didn't seem to be concerned about your loyalty. Talk to their loyalty department or say you're gone with T-Mobile/AT&T/Metro/Verizon.
3. Samsung is all in with the curve edges, so you're not going to see some viable tempered glass screen protectors because it's hard to build that shape and the screen is so hard to fix, so you're SOL on that end or you're going to need to get a plastic protector.
4. The Note 8 is just a bigger version of your problems, no pun intended because the screen size is a bit bigger.
5. LG V30 is going to be a better bet, but look at the LG G6 and G6+ to save $ and get a quality device still.

The lack of bezels makes me unconcerned with having every single video or game fill the screen. The black borders truly feels like just larger bezels to me. So I don't really see a difference watching video on my previous Note 7 vs the S8+. If the small bezels on the S8+ were any color but black, then I might have a problem with it, but the AMOLED true blackness is flush with the bezel blackness.

Your dislikes of the S8+ will still be on the Note 8.

Yes but less, I can bear paying a premium for a Premium phone
6GB RAM, fun Stylus features, Dual Cameras, less severely curved edges.
