Sushi!
Had a fish named that for ~2-3 years.

Or Newton, emphasizing the 'Newt' part.

Apple made the G4 cube too small, otherwise the poor fish could have had a bigger home.

... I think I'd like to name him something not Mac/computer related...

You're no fun! You won't be able to use names like Freescale (after the Freescale PPC 7400 in the Cube), or Trinity (the codename of the Cube).

I'm such a geek

when I saw the thread title, the first thing I think was "Sushi" too... Fishy is always a good choice too... :D

Alan because Alan Parson if is a boy.
Cindy because Cindy Louper if is a girl.
Destroyer if is rude and tough.
mymemory if is smart.
Iliana (like my girlfriend) if is cute.

I'm really liking Chip at this point, but I'm still open to more suggestions.

As for the tank size but tangerine is correct, as long as you don't put more than one Betta together, they thrive in smaller spaces. A male Betta fish can happily live in a tank as small as one quart. For reference, the cube holds about a gallon of water.

hehe - I like it too! I used to have a computer named 'chip' that's where I got the idea.

I was just looking at page about sea divinities as a review for a quiz I have. Anyway, here's some:

Poseidon/Neptune

Triton

Nereus

I'll think of some more. Must go to class now.

..from the world of progressive rock...

"Chris Squire"

or

"Shindleria Praematurus"

Back story: In their early days of Yes, Bill Bruford and Chris Squire did not get along. One of the ways Squire irritated Bruford was his penchant for taking unusally long baths. He was nicknamed "The Fish" in derision, and they actually included a song with that title in their platinum-selling Fragile album.
