I've got a 2008 Imac, its been awesome, yesterday i did a restart and it was stuck in the boot screen. I tried everything i could think of, finally i reinstalled the O.S .OS X. i didn't format. now i have the "previously installed system, is there any way to restore that ?
any help would help me, thanks, Bill :confused:

Sounds like you did an update install, which moves your current system files to "previous system" or some such directory under the root. Your user data files should still be in where they were before.
