Hi all,
I have this odd ghosting problem and I need your help to see if your iPhone X is also affected! I’ve contacted Apple Care and my case has been escalated to engineering. Hoping to find out others are also affected meaning it’s hopefully fixable with a software update or others are not affected and I’ll return my phone if I can’t get it replaced.
So follow these steps:
-Turn on night shift. Set it to full warm setting.
-I have True Tone on but I don’t think it works with night shift. Would defeat the purpose.
-brightness all the way down.
-in a dark room (as you would be if your laying in bed before going to sleep.
-launch an app that has videos playing where you can scroll past them. In my case the easiest to reproduce is the FB app. Once a video is playing in the feed if I scroll up quickly I get this bright green ghosting effect. Really annoying!
are you guys able to reproduce this?
I also notice this effect when scrolling in the Apple mail inbox for example. But it’s a bit harder to tell.
Here’s what I’m seeing on mine: (hard to capture on video)
