Hello everyone,
hope you're always health and safe in corona disease now.

Im lecture at university, maybe much using computer with document, sometimes developing web or android, is a rare using photosop (i dont know how to use this soft actually lol).

i have old macbook pro, core2duo, 2009 (ram 4gb, hardisk 320gb, 13"). im looking at local market :

1. macbook pro retina late 2013 15"
processor i7 2ghz, ram 8gb, ssd 250gb with box, longchord, manual guide

2. macbook pro retina early 2015 13"
processor i5 2,9ghz, ram 8gb, ssd 500gb, only magsafe and macbook with free hardcase and sleeve

they're come with same price in local market.

can you help me to decide one? maybe i will keep for 3 years more.

thank you so much,
enjoy your nice weekend.

> is it true thats core i7 better than core i5
yes, i7 lets you run more multi-cores (hyperthreading) and will make that older mac much better performing for a longer life.

But for specific comparisons between those two, i would look at the Geekbench benchmarks

I switched to MBP 13" 2015 only couple of days ago, but before I searched a lot about whether this would be a good choice etc. So I can only second previous opinions - definitely 2015!

All things being equal, a 2015 is far better than a 2013. The 13" versus 15" complicates things, though, as the 13" has a dual-core i5 and the 15" has a quad core i7. It all depends on how much performance you need, and whether the lighter weight / smaller footprint of the 13" is a significant advantage.

That said, for your stated needs the 13" should be fine.
