Ciao. 😎

I need some bits of advice. After a lot of searches, I want to buy for the first time a laptop — also for the first time, I will move from Windows to macOS.

My current PC: Intel Core I7-7700K 4.2 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, 32GB RAM DDR4 3200 MHz, 512 SSD Samsung 850 EVO and 2TB HDD.

I bought this PC for games but I want something portable and I want to learn about editing photo/video and maybe a little more complex, to working on a game in Unity or Unreal Engine. The material and design of the MacBook Pro are over anything I've seen on the market and about macOS I heard only good things.

But reading the topics on this forum I have seen many problems with this laptop — which made me think better if it was worth the change. 😕

My English is not my mother tongue, I apologize for some mistakes.

Cheers!

I suggest looking at your software requirements/programs you will be running and then look at the hardware.

Given that you seem to be wanting to develop on games, and what not, a Mac may not be the best option. The MBP's GPU is rather anemic compared to the 1080 that you're running now.

OK. I'll keep my desktop for another 2-3 years then. 🙂

Thank you for the answers!
