Help Moving from iPhoto to Windows and Adobe PS Elements 12

Hi All,

I've got an iPhoto library on my MacBook Pro at about 67gigs. I now primarily use my new Surface Pro 3 (Windows 8.1) and just purchased Adobe Elements 12 for it. I used to use full Photoshop in college (10 plus years ago) and got really into editing but that quickly gave in to other hobbies.

So now I need some advice or tips when making this cross platform switch? Will the Adobe organizer be able to dissect my iPhoto library to a somewhat already sorted form?

Any other tips for a new Adobe PS Element user? Anything Windows specific?

(Sorry I asked on a SP forum and no response. Theres a lot of overall computer knowledge here even Windows!)
