Help!!!! My Ibook G4 Track Won't Work With New Instalation Of 10.4.11

Hi there,
I have just wiped my iBook G4 and put on the original apple OS X 10.4 DVD and the trackpad didn't work - so I tried all the updates and it still doesn't work (I have to use a mouse)
