HELP! My Icons are blank!

All of a sudden my desktop icons have gone blank. Can someone here please describe to me how to fix this?

What do you mean they’ve gone blank? Have you restarted?

Yes I've restarted. The icon is white, i.e. blank.

It's a web page link. You have updated your Safari to 14.0.1 and there is a bug that displays Safari .webloc files as blank.

Safari 14.0.1 breaks .webloc icon previews

Still on Catalina 10.15.7 SuppUp and just installed Safari 14.0.1 (15610.2.11.51.10) over 14.0 today, and all my .webloc icon previews are blank. That includes desktop icons, folder icons, and Get Info Preview icons. Anyone else? They used to look like this:

I don't use Safari. I've used Firefox since this MacBook was new in mid 2012.

If you updated Safari to 14.0.1 it causes ALL web browsers .webloc icons (at least all of the browsers I have on my Mac) to be blank. That includes Firefox, Chrome, Edge, ect...
