All of a sudden my desktop icons have gone blank. Can someone here please describe to me how to fix this?

Thanks...Dan

I can’t help you. But the more information you give the better for someone else. Maybe provide a picture? Help us to help you.

Blank

It's a web page link. You have updated your Safari to 14.0.1 and there is a bug that displays Safari .webloc files as blank.

I don't use Safari. I've used Firefox since this MacBook was new in mid 2012.

If you updated Safari to 14.0.1 it causes ALL web browsers .webloc icons (at least all of the browsers I have on my Mac) to be blank. That includes Firefox, Chrome, Edge, ect...
