Hi guys, received my new imac 5k 2017 last Friday, and exactly one week later, I came home from work and tried to turn it on, but it wouldn't!

Paid for an expensive machine but it starts giving me problem one week in.... WTF Apple! Disappointed.

Can anyone please advise me on what I shoul do?

Many thanks!

where can i find my imac serial number?
Serial # should be on the box it came in by the barcode. Also usually on the underside of the base.
Did you have any storms in the area? Maybe it was hit with a power surge. It sounds odd that a new iMac would not start at all.

If it won't power on at all, you will have to have Apple look it up for you. Did you try pulling the power cable out for a few minutes and plugging it back in? Is it completely dead?

I'm still figuring out how to do that...

I tried a few times not sure if i did it correctly.... it won't turn on still

So I've returned my 1-week old iMac to Apple...

I've a question that's been bugging me: can Apple actually access my data? I have websites logged in, Mail etc..

Anyone else having problem with their brand new imac 5k? or is it just my luck..
