iPod Help, my ipod is stuck on the apple logo

Ive searched and searced and searched but nothng works, diagnostic wont, when i reboot it just stays on the logo. can anybody help?

reset the ipod while plugging it in the ac or the comp?

Actually when i rty to boot up to diagnostics I hear clicks and the light comes on
but nothing shows up, any help?

Listen to applemacdude, I recently fixed an iPod by resetting it WHILE it was plugged into my computer. Also use Disk Utility to reformat it.

Thank you so much applerocks, the disk mode page was exactly what i needed because i was pressing the wrong buttons ;p my ipods working as good as new. thank you so much!!
