i just dropped my phone on my mac book air and bounced and hit the screen now there is what lookes like a smudge and has massive lines that looks like cracks? (all behind the glass)

would this be covered by warranty??

I'm really worried about it:confused::confused:

can anyone help me or give me some info??

how come it wouldn't be covered? how would and can i get it fixed? if so how much would it be??

----------

It will not be covered by Applecare.

how come it wouldn't be covered?

would it be fixable?? its only 2 month old :/

It's not Apple's fault, AppleCare covers problems that are to blame on design or manufacturing problems.

If you can convince them that the screen should resist what it was subjected to you might have a case.

Guarantees cover manufacturing defects. Accidental damage would only be covered by your household insurance (if you have any).

As for cost to fix, it depends on how bad the damage is. Impossible to say without seeing it - but if it need as new screen, it's not going to be cheap.

It sounds like it's your fault. 30cm is a foot off of the laptop, and iphones are hard.
Call apple and ask them the replacement cost.

The only cover you may have is within your household contents insurance IF you have accidental damage cover. Check the policy. As posted above, Apple will not pay for this, but your insurers just might.

£240 for a new screen, I cracked mine and that is what I was quoted in my local Apple Centre, but the very nice lassie that I got chatting to took pity on me and she did it FOC.

Mind you, this is in Scotland.
