Greetings,

Im new here and not the most knowledgable in this field.
I own a black macbook, running tiger. Im upgrading at the end of the month to a higher spec of macbook.
Basically, it looks like my current model will be sold before my new one arrives. Therefore i cannot transfer my files from machine to machine via firewire or the like.

What is the easiest way to transfer my Itunes contents & Iphoto libraries, using an external harddrive?

Thanks for all your help, in advance...

Ric

For your personal information, simply copy your entire user folder to the external drive, this should also grab all your music and application data. Then you can either copy it directly to the new machine, overwriting the default data, or try using the Migration utility to have the new system copy everything over for you.
