Hey there,

So here's my dilemma; I used address book for my Christmas Cards this past year, and went in to update the information in the cards to reflect the Mr & Mrs information. That is, instead of John Smith, I want the information to be Mr & Mrs John Smith, or John and Jane Smith.

I was hoping to make a subgroup called "Christmas Cards" I copied a few cards from my "Address Book" listings and put them in "Christmas Cards" thinking this would be a separate group. but alas, as I change or add names in "Christmas Cards" the information is changed or added to my "Address Book" listing.

Now this would be fine and dandy if all I used it for was mailing letters, but I sync this information with my iphone, mobileMe and gmail, so now when a call comes in from "John & Jane Smith" I don't know if it's John or Jane, thus defeating the purpose of caller ID.

Any hints or tips on how I can have two completely separate address books so one can sync with my iPhone, mobileMe and Gmail and one that just sits, waiting to become labels for Christmas, New years, and thank you cards?

Probably the easiest (although cumbersome) thing you could do is export your address book and create a new account on your computer. Then just import the address book for that user and keep your changes there.

thanks. Thats an interesting solution, and may very well be the only one.
