Is iTunes working correctly, has your phone been recognised by iTunes/and your computer?

What happened just prior to it getting "stuck"?

Was this iPhone 4 working PRIOR to you doing an update?

Did iTunes recognized the iPhone 4 propr to updating? I assume it did or it would not have allowed the start of the update.

Guess I do not need to tell you that the update went bad.

I hope one of the other members will help you to get the OS re-installed, I have never had to do this.
