Help needed setting up a web site

I hope I don't sound like too much of an amateur, but, any help on this would be great!

I have created a single web page that I need to get hosted. I have the domain name but can't work out how I get web hosting too. The domain provider doesn't provide web hosting. I would ideally like a free web hosting account. However I can't work out how I do it. How do I get the correct details onto my FTP client?

Any help would be very much appreciated!
