Dear all,

i beg you for some help .
I have an Macbook Early 2013 and macos Sonoma installed with OCLP . so far so good.
I bought a new Macbook and want to put on the latest oossible macos on this Macbook 2013, which is macos Big Sur .
I made a stupid mistake and erased the SSD before installation.. Installation begans and after reboot , nothings is possible anymore .
With the option key i have the macos installer and install Big Sur but of course it shows on both support.apple.com/mac/startup .
With the Internet Recovery i have a 1005 F Error .
I kno i know , that was all very stupid from me , but is there any possible way to run BIG Sur again , create a EFI and if , than how ?
Sorry if my topic is wrong than please put it in the correct departement , dear mods..

Please help :)

Thats what i have done and that went wrong because of my stupidity during installation.. When i put the installer USB Stick in , i see no EFI and the support.apple.com/mac/startup error

What

What model exactly?
Only MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) and MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) support Big Sur.
https://support.apple.com/en-us/103111
Regardless of the model, you could try with a Catalina installer, and then upgrade to Big Sur.

This is one more of more than one posts I've seen from users who have tried OCLP, had problems, and then "can't seem to get themselves out of it".

What's the sure-fire way to recover from an OCLP "failure"?

Reset PRAM/NVRAM and SMC, boot from an install disk with supported macOS, erase the internal disk and install macOS. By erasing the whole internal disk, the EFI partition gets recreated as an Apple partition.

for me going back to Catalina on a MacBook Pro 2012 13" in September then replacing the DVD player.
I tried OCLP with Monterey which worked great in 2022 but froze up everything
months ago after a second try of OCLP Sept 2023.
while OCLP Monterey worked perfect on the same year's mini for 9 months.

Now Im sticking with 2020 M1 Sonoma and enjoying life in the fast lane!

OCLP giveth, then taketh!
