Does anyone know if it is possible to purchase an exernal harddrive that can connect to a network via an ethernet port on a wireless router? Oh and one that works with OSX too.

Yep. I bought one of these Lacie HD's recently and it works like a dream.

Just plug it into an ethernet port on your router and away you go. You can do all the setting up etc though a web page using safari.

I ordered mine directly from the Lacie website. I think mine cost a bit more than the price you've got there.
