Hi i had an iphone 3gs which i jailbroke no probs....Now i have just upgraded to iphone 4..it is ModelMC603C...Version 4.2.1 (8C148)...Modem firmware 03.10.01.....I have windows 7 my question is can it be jaibroken/ If so what is the best and easiest way to do it??? Thanks for any help......

Yes, a tethered jb. See iclarified for instructions.

I dont think it works using Windows 7, you will need to run it in XP mode or use a laptop with xp on it like im doing right now
 
damn Im halfway through downloading the files onto my laptop.

I run Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit too so it should work using the guide in iclarified.

Do I need to restore using the linked ipsw or can I just use it when using redsnow.

Basically can I jailbreak over my current phone setup as long as it is the correct frimware

Perhaps you should use a tutorial from iClarified (which was also previously suggested)
