When my iPhone looses wifi it will not connect automatically to cellular data network. It shows on the top left of the phone as if it is but does not connect to anything and message states no connection. I have looked around for a solution to no avail. Thanks for any help.

You really haven't provided the forum with much information, but make sure that in "settings" you have cellular data turned on. My carrier provides WiFi calling so I keep WiFi on at all times but I also have cellular selected. As soon as I'm out of range of a WiFi signal my cellular LTE is used.

I own an iPhone 6. I do have cellular data turned on. I don't have wi fi calling as an option. It automatically connects to wi fi. When out of wi fi range it goes to data but have to reset cellular data network. What other info you think can help figure out my situation. Thank you for your response.

I just checked my settings on my iPhone 6+ and other than automatic WiFi calling with T-Mobile (my carrier) the cellular data and LTE setting is set to "on". As I stated above, it automatically switches over when WiFi is not available. You shouldn't have to reset your cellular data network each time unless your carrier signals are very weak or temporarily out of range.

So with Wi-Fi off, your phone won't even make a call? Try removing and reinserting your SIM card. As a worst case, do a complete reset of the phone back to factory settings (erasing all data and content). I'd try reinserting the SIM card first, then doing a hard restart if that doesn't help. Only then would I think of erasing everything.
