Help me understand and figure this out please.

I can't get any internet on my iMac but I can get internet to my MBP and Ipad.
The iMac is connected via ethernet wire to the router and the router is located right next to the iMac.

I've turned on/off both router and modem and still no internet to iMac.
If it was a router or modem problem, then I shouldn't be able to get internet anywhere in the house, right? I've chanced the ethernet cable running from router to iMac and still nothing.

In the network pref, everything is running OK, or so it tells me.

thoughts?

That's one solution but not what I'm looking for.
Want to know why I lost my connection using Ethernet wire.
I've tried and can't come up with any solutions.
