    Hi everyone

I just purchased a macbook and its awesome. its my first time owning a apple notebook so i don't know the ins and outs. I have a couple questions regarding software/hardware

1-whats the best, maybe free, virus protector?
2-whats the best hard case shell for these not including the specks?
    3-whats the best torrent client?
4-i have an exchange account and want to sync it with my MB, how would i do that? i currently use entourage bc it has all my contacts, cal, and email all in one. is there something better that could do all this?
5-i currently have a partitioned windows drive, i was wondering if i could delete the partition in the future without affecting my osx partition?
6-how do you keep your keyboard/palm rest white/clean?
    7-whats a good overall cd/dvd burning suite
8-why does vlc stutter during streaming?

    thanks in advance!!

    1. No viruses affect OSX, at all. Some protectors exist, but they search for Windows viruses that you may want to find incase you send files to unprotected PCs.

    3. Transmission IMO, some like the feature-full (but REALLY bloated) Azureus.

    5. If you did it in Boot Camp, just run the Boot Camp Assistant to delete it.

7 OSX has good burning built-in, but Toast is fantastic :)

1 - LOL.. but seriously, your safe without it, no OS X viruses yet.
    3 - Azeurus
6 - Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
    7 - Toast
8 - Probably some limitation on your internet connection speed? For instance if you have 1Mbps DSL, you aren't going to be able to stream a 3Mbps video file smoothly, this may or may not be your problem
