TWO2SEVEN macrumors 68040 Sep 23, 2014 #2 That is completely normal. The phone uses space for the OS and other stock data.
stardozer13 macrumors member Original poster Sep 23, 2014 #3 So how much space do I have left to download stuff??
Kebabselector macrumors 68030 Sep 23, 2014 #4 On the figures you have stated it looks as if you have 2.8gb left to download things.

Click to expand... capacity means that's how much your phone can handle after ios 8 is installed.. now you probably have 10gb of data on your phone so now you have 2.8gb of data left.. 16gb is too small for average users. get a 32gb phone if you can.
