Ok, I've been working on a very complicated Photoshop project for about a week now, doing lots of COB work with the Quick Mask mode. Today I just tried to start working on a new image (in the same PS project) and the Quick Mask Mode won't work!

I can mask out everything just as I usually do, but when you toggle back to normal mode, it doesn't give you the selection.

Any ideas how to fix this? 😕

have you pressed command H (hide selection) by any chance?

pressing the same again should bring it back

Sorry, I forgot to get back to this thread earlier.
The problem wasn't with the selections being hidden, but I ended up just deleting Photoshop's preference file and that fixed it.
