Help Please (30" ACD with regular DVI port?)

Ok so I'm gonna buy a 30 inch acd tomorrow from a 3rd party. My question the laptop I have only has a regular dvi port not a dual link will it still lick the monitor on so I can see if it works with the regular dvi port thanks for any info.

Yes, at a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800.
