I used bootcamp to install xp and i got rid of it cruz i don't want it anymore using disk utility. Now everytime i boot up, i got this black screen and with a message saying "No bootable device..." . What can i do to fix this problem?

Try holding down the "option" key on startup. It should give you a list of bootable volumes. From there, you can select OS-X. Then, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and set the OS-X volume as the default boot volume.

For future reference, the correct way to remove a Boot Camp partition is by using the Boot Camp Assistant application.

No, I just have to go to System preferences/ startup disk and pick the right volume. it doesn't matter if i remove the xp with disk utility or the bootcamp
