Take it in for repair. It will cost you though. I think $79.

More like $250... when you're in warranty.

They may let you buy a refurb for $250 as well, even if you're out of warranty.

If you're good at handy work and can follow instructions really good you can get it for about $50 here if the LCD isn't broken. It sounds like the LCD is broken so it'll cost you about $130 here and here or $230 here. I really haven't found a difference in the two prices except that one is a refurbished original screen form Apple. They are from the same company and include the same parts though. I also advise a nice case for $20.

    **EDIT** Cheaper Links

I just found a much cheaper place to buy the complete screen replacement package. Here it is for only $115, but it's on sale and is usually $125. PDA Parts was $230 for this package. They also have the other parts for the iPhone like glass and LCD alone.

Obviously. The only "free" way would be to get Apple to fix it under warranty, but as you said you're out of warranty PLUS even if you were, things like cracked screens are not covered under warranty to begin with. Even if it was still within the warranty period, you'd still be paying for a repair.

that is not an option, and anyway no warranty covers accidental damages or abuse. Did you buy with a credit card? I think some cover accidental damages, not sure though.

I don't know how to put in a friendlier way..iPhones with physical damages are not supported by Apple, anything that is software related, can be solved(usually) with a restore, anything hardware related is often due to the impact and physical damage. I hope it makes sense to you.

I hope that you were kidding because that would be pretty rude if you just told everyone that it was a waste of their time to try and help someone. We have provided links to sites where you can resolve this and if you don't want to fix it then don't ask questions about it! It's a waste of our time to try to help someone who doesn't need the help. I really hope that was a joke and I suggest you make it a little more clear next time with a simple "jk" instead of the "lol".;)

You want us to inform you of an illegal way to fix your phone. Apple will not replace it because even if it was under warranty, that will only cover manufacturing defects and the like. Obviously, you broke the phone yourself. Maybe you should grow up and start taking responsibility for your actions.

Apple will not replace a iPhone, or any product for that matter, with physical damage from the owner. Like M-5 said, they will only replace it because of manufacturer defects or software problems not solved by a full restore.
I really hope that you were kidding there and didn't put any real information, or information that can lead to real information in when you signed up here.;) Also, this thread was created to fix a problem, not to joke around about stolen iPhones and wasting people's time who try to help you, if that was even a joke. Please don't be over sarcastic and at least use the sarcastic emoticon::rolleyes:.

Absolutely right. There has been useful information posted here and I see no reason to keep it open. If someone posts a real question here then it should be considered to be kept open, otherwise this thread should be closed.
