I was so happy about my new giant toy until about 10 minutes ago. The touch screen completely lost control. I can't turn it off as the touch screen does not response any more. So I force shut it down, and try to restart it. However, log in requires passcode after restart, and I was not able to input any code. Any one has the same problem? Thanks.

I noticed this in the apple store display model. However it would happen for a few seconds and then work and then do it agin. It wasn't permanent

Try removing it from the charger and hard reboot a few times. As a note, some unofficial charger cables cause touch problems with the screens.

Thanks for reply. Mine does not work at all. I tried hard reset a couple of times, can't even log in as it requires passcode, and I have no way to input the passcode.

Try a DFU restore, as a normal restore would require the device to be unlocked. If the issue still persists, give Apple a call.
