Hello, how are you?
I need your help.

I have an iPhone 7, running the latest version of IOS.
Today I noticed something strange.
I took some photos today and in the afternoo, I noticed that on the photos App, two photos where not sorted in order.
The two last photos I took today where not in last place on the photos.

So, before I tried to do anything about it, i thought it would be better to connect to itunes to do a backup.

When I start itunes with the iphone connected to the computer, Itunes gives a popup saying it cannot read the contents of my iphone.
It then offers the option to restore the iphone.

I have already tried different cables, uninstalled itunes, installed again, rebooted the computer, rebooted the phone, I always get this result.

Now, I don't want to restore the iphone as I don't have another backup and I don't want to setup as a new iphone and loose everything.

Now, this is a problem for me, because I can use the iphone as is, but when I want to upgrade this iphone to a new one, if I cannot connect to itunes I cannot do a backup to restore to a new iphone.
This defeats the purpose of an Iphone for me with the ease of upgrade to transfer everything to a new phone.

So I really want to get this fixed. But I don't know how to do it.

Can anyone please help me out?
Has this happened to anyone else? Did you manage to fix it?

Thank you very much!
Best regards!

Just to add a bit more of information.
Tried my wife’s old iPhone 5s and it connects no problem.
Same USB port, same computer, same cable, same iTunes.

So I am now thinking the problem lies on my iPhone.
